  1. Happy Birthday Nighbluey!

    What a beautiful brooch!

Well what characterizes my wardrobe i would have to say is style. My own style. I am a working mother so most of my style is comfy and easy to move around in...nothing to tight when you have to catch a 21 month old. I love fashion, but thats not my world. And i wouldn't give up anything to live in that world. My style is a relaxed style but that doesn't mean i'm in sweats and a t-shirt. I love my stilettos and my dresses...if i were to walk into my closet and look at the "style" of my clothes i would have to say that most of it has a 30's or 40's vibe. I truly think i was born in the wrong era.

  2. for me it is definitely style, with an eye on fashion... while i dress a bit more boho in general, when i dress up i love the classics...

  3. Happy Anniversary!

I think the best thing for me (as a college student) is to mix fashion and style. I try to buy staples (especially if a splurge for an item) like a black trench coat, black skinny pants, ballet flats, a J.Crew dress, etc.

Then I will spice up my simple style with trendy pieces like belts, necklaces, and bags from places like ModCloth or Forever 21.

I usually like really simple clothes, but sometimes its fun to pretend I'm fashion forward or trendy. Haha! :)

  4. Happy Birthday NighBluey !!!

  5. Happy Anniversary and Happy Early Birthday!

I have to agree with mairedodd. I tend to stick to style classics like the little black dress...and I'm a firm believer in that you can never own too many pairs of jeans or shoes, even though I always seem to play favorites, it's nice to know I have options :)

I keep an eye on fashion for trend colors, and accessories to carry my classics through to the next season. I also like to have fun with different hair styles and make-up trends, both inexpensive ways to stay current.

Oh and a Happy New Year to you as well!

  6. Happy Birthday to you! I'm technically still on "computer hiatus" but saw your giveaway on facebook and couldn't resist entering! Great vintage pin! I'm already a blog follower and facebook fan...and....my wardrobe is definitely characterized more by style than fashion.
