News from my garden...

Working in my garden, even for a few minutes at a time, brings me back into balance. At the risk of sounding like Shirley McLaine, I have conversations with my plants, with the soil, with the birds that always accompany me, no matter what time of the year it is. I like the morning aspect of the sun. Early in the morning, which my MY time, it peeks through the back fence and lights up my lillies and verigated willows...

Below, not a fancy allium. Rather, a simple onion! And one of my favourites - hen and chicks!

  1. i really love seeing the world through other's eyes... i relate to your connection, and am so grateful to have it... it always surprises me how much is missed by so many... there was a preying (or is it praying, now that is bugging me, have to check - yup, praying) mantis on a barnes & noble window front one day and the kids and i just watched people walk right by and not even notice... kind of sad... but great for us! as we don't see them very often...
