Purple is my new black...

I adore this purple floor (our new floor is chocolate) and for months, I have been trying to convince the big-K that stairs like this (a little more modern, perhaps) are what we need - he is concerned about our state-of-balance post libations and, of course, the dog and three cats (gee, I forgot about them) but I say, throw caution to the wind!!
