I'm not sure what would be more fabulous, as a person dressed in her wallpaper or my walls dressed in that wallpaper? So much to love about that woman. I'm crazy for your header by the way, looks terrific. I admire too that you posted your mothers photo on your blog. Strange enough last night @ around 2 a.m. I was thinking of doing the same as my mother passed on New Years day this year. Your mom was one stylish looking woman & I'm sure dearly loved. x deb (sorry for the delete, I dislike when I make typos!)
I agree with Dumbwit Tellher there is so much to love about that woman! i would totally wear that white dress in the first picture (if it was fabric lol) and i would totally put the 1st dress in the first picture on my walls. thank you for sharing your blog - i love it! And i also love your new header...
Deborah and Dionne, thanks for much for your posts.
Deborah - I did read that your mother passed away - I have been meaning to write to you about it and to say, at the very least, that I am sorry but, quite honestly, I have so much to say and yet, I am lost for words. My Mother's death has changed me, not for better or for worse, just changed me. I am a different person today than I was on April 1, 2009, the day before she died but I KNOW that she is with me, in so many ways, and guides me all the time. She was a very fashionable, stylish, provocative (in some ways), brave and progressive woman. When we lived in Communist Poland (when I was a child), she somehow managed to tune into all the latest trends, to have all of the latest hairstyles, to wear boots and accessories from the West. She was smashing! I wish that little suede tunic she wears in that photo were still around but I do have her pendant watch, the one around her neck. Celebrate your mother, Deborah, I know you will - and she will know that you are celebrating her!
Dionne - my friend! Westwood has always been an icon of mine, not that I am brave enough to wear half of her creations but she is an icon, an artist, a visionary. Glad you like her too!
Ladies, thanks for your comments on my new banner - a little dark but then, so am I, from time to time! oxox to you both AJ
One of Coco's most famous quotes, truly to live by...
“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”
